DO YOU HAVE ROOTS?

It's always good to have a professional that you can turn to when needed. For instance, a good mechanic, a favored doctor, that tax guy, your hairdresser. Do you have a particular favorite that you have established a working relationship with? This could be a dog walker, baker, daycare, or yoga instructor. These are the people who make your life comfortable. They are a gem in the world of rough rocks. You love their service and can always count on them.

I like to call these people my "roots". For example, when I moved to another state I felt out of sorts, unwelcome and that I just did not belong. It wasn't until I found a good doctor, feed store and farrier that I began to feel like things would fall into place. That was a long time ago, I eventually left that area and came back home. I now have all my roots (dentist, doctor, yoga instructor, mechanic, vet, farrier, even a guy who can dig a whole big enough to bury a horse in my backyard - thanks for not asking!) It just feels good to know where to turn when you need help. It keeps me grounded. I feel that each relationship even though it is professional allows me to tunnel more into the Earth, thus rooting me to this location, which is just fine with me. These are all people who make my life complete and stress-free. I highly recommend them all and wouldn't change a thing.

This is not to be confused with going back to your roots or finding your roots, there's Ancestry.com for that. It's just something to think about the next time you find a great chiropractor, baressta, dog groomer, or manicurist that you know you could never replace. Do you have roots?

Until next week....

Keep Dreaming,

Coleen
